Some of my other work

I had a job that required some photography work, I got to use a lightbox and a Canon EOS 20D. I also had a little gray card for doing the color balancing. This particular frame (above) was custom made, the names on the left side are personalized with the date of the wedding at the bottom of the heart. I shot this first in the lightbox and used Canon software to make a color correction, I used a flash but I also used some front lighting to compensate for the darkness of the back frame, it worked to add some dimension so you could see the outline of the frame all the way around, I cut out the center of the frame (the picture window) in photoshop and found some stock photography online, I dropped it in on a sub-layer and added a drop shadow to the (picture window), I also added a drop shadow to the frame but first I outlined it and cut it out of its original image, placed it on a white background and then gave it a little shadow for dimension again, the result is a black frame you can see and it looks well polished like one would expect the final product to look

The above is a set of towels, the image on the far left is the original, I had that image and a red color swatch to make all the single towels to the right. This kind of work was important when selling individual towels as opposed to a group set, a customer has to be able to visualize the final product. At the time I worked for a catalog company who only really spent money on photography for their catalog, so these redundant shots made from other images were often required to fill the online catalog.

The above shot was a personal triumph, we had a guy who did most of our color correction and was very skilled at photoshop, I made it a personal challenge to be able to put out work like he did. This shot original on the left- it's hard to see in this web version but there's a lot of dust on the clocks which I removed, I also popped the text in the gold area, modified contrast, added dimension to the background and managed to take a shot of the product without seeing any reflection to boot.
